FAQs

Every family’s situation is unique.

Contact us if you’d like to discuss your circumstances in confidence.

What is a Child Contact Service?

We provide a safe, neutral environment where children can spend time with a parent or family member they do not live with. Services may include supervised contact, supported contact, or supported handovers.

Do I need a court order?

Not necessarily. Families may attend through a court order, professional referral, or private agreement.

How do I make a referral?

Referrals can come from courts, solicitors, social workers, or directly from parents (where appropriate). Contact us to discuss your situation

What happens before sessions begin?

Each parent attends a separate intake meeting. We complete a risk assessment, explain processes, and agree on session arrangements.

What happens during supervised contact?

A trained staff member is present during services to ensure safety and compliance of processes. Sessions are pre-scheduled for the required duration and maintain a primary focus on the child's well-being. The staff member will take notes during the session for the required documentation.

Do you provide court reports?

Yes, every service session will have a detailed report available.

How much does it cost?

Fees vary depending on the service provided with an outlined quote prior. Please contact us for current pricing.

What safety measures are in place?

We have a thorough risk assessment process, use separate arrival times, trained staff, and clear behaviour guidelines to maintain a safe environment. All processes are aligned with Child Safety Standards.

What if my child is anxious?

We work at the child’s pace and offer gradual introductions where needed. Children are never forced to participate. We will always do what we can to ensure the child is comfortable. Their emotional well-being and safety is our top priority.

How long will we use the service?

This depends on court directions and family circumstances. Some arrangements are short-term; others may continue longer. We are here for as long as you need.
